One of our most memorable 2025 events happened last October 3 to 5, 2025. Eastwood
City rolled out the red carpet for pets and their pawrents as Pet Friendly’s proudly hosted “Entering the World of Pawlywood,” a 3-day celebration dedicated to our furry best friends. From free loot bags to creative workshops to meaningful community activities, the weekend proved one thing for sure: life is always better when we get to share moments like these with our furry friends (and seeing them happy? truly the best feeling ever 🥹).

🎬🌟 Pawlywood Weekend Recap
Lights… Camera… Action!
The celebration kicked off on Friday, October 3, with a rainy welcome (cries) and a first look at a beautifully decked-out Eastwood Central Village. Participating pet brands fully embraced the Pawlywood theme—complete with themed booths, creative concepts, games, and adorable photo spots that had everyone stopping for pictures.
Pet Friendly’s opened the excitement by giving away free loot bags to the first 100 event-goers, while visitors enjoye
d browsing booths offering unique merchandise, irresistible discounts, grooming essentials, treats, pet fashion, and even food and drinks for pet parents.
Adding to the experience were our hands-on creative workshops. We had a “Make Your Own Pet Necklace” Workshop wherein pet parents designed colorful, personalized necklaces for their furry friends. Meanwhile, our Educational Journaling Workshop offered a cozy learning space where attendees explored pet nutrition, wellness, and simple everyday habits that help pets and pawrents live well-balanced, happy lives.
Looking back, “Entering the World of Pawlywood” became so much more than an event. It was a heartwarming gathering where our community explored a vibrant pet-friendly destination, unleashed (pun intended hehe) their creativity, learned valuable pet care tips, discovered new pet brands, and celebrated the joys (and occasional challenges!) of being pet parents, together.
🐾 Main Highlights: Walk-a-thon Pawrade & Pet Blessing
One of the most anticipated moments of the weekend was the Walk-a-thon Pawrade with a Best Costume Contest. We invited pets and their humans to dress as their favorite celebrities or fictional characters, and even though the rain tried to steal the show, our furry superstars shined right through it!
We were also incredibly lucky to have Juliana as our event host. Even with weather delays, she kept the crowd energized with her stories, playful questions, and infectious enthusiasm. When the skies finally cleared, our furry friends had the perfect moment to strut around Eastwood Citywalk and show off their creative, funny, and downright adorable costumes.
The Pawrade route highlighted Eastwood City’s charming photo spots and showed just how pet-friendly it truly is. As the first truly pet-friendly city in the Philippines, Eastwood City offers countless pet-welcoming restaurants, cafés, and bars. We even passed a mini paw park right beside a pet-friendly photobooth studio. Small but thoughtful touches like these make Eastwood the perfect place for a community that loves having their pets with them 24/7.
The weekend wrapped up on Sunday, October 5, with Eastwood City’s Annual Pet Blessing (made brighter with Pet Friendly’s hehe). Hundreds of pets and their parents gathered to welcome Pet Welfare Month and honor the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. It was a gentle, heartfelt reminder to be grateful, be kind, and appreciate the deep, unconditional bond we share with our pets.
🐶 Adoption Drive & Free Health Checkups
In true Pet Friendly’s fashion, the event also made room for compassion. Biyaya Animal Care hosted an Adoption Drive throughout the weekend, giving adorable rescues a chance to find their forever homes. There was also a donation drive for their fostered rescues and they offered free pet health checkups, helping promote responsible pet ownership amid all the fun festivities.
🎥 Curtain Call: A Blockbuster Success
We’re used to organizing pop-ups and joining large events, but we never truly considered building and hosting one ourselves.. until Eastwood City reached out to us. We saw an opportunity to bring our mission forward: Education. Experiential. Inspired by our furry friends, driven by our community.
It took a village, but every bit of effort was worth it once we saw each wagging tail, each smiling pet parent, and each furry friend making lasting memories with their humans. We miss you all already… and this definitely won’t be the last. :)
